Bursaries

Are you unemployed?

NABS-BEC is pleased to offer a bursary program to those in the Canadian Media and Advertising community who are currently facing unemployment or chronic under-employment (under 40 working hours per week). The application process is simple, you fill out the form below to determine your eligibility and tell us about the program/certification that you are interested in taking. From there, a member of the NABS-BEC programs team will be in touch with next steps. For 2026, there will be 20+ $1000 bursaries available, and winners will be announced early October.

WHO CAN APPLY?

To be eligible for the bursary program, applicants must:

  • Currently be unemployed or under-employed for at least one month, or freelancing / contract working.
  • Have worked in the media and advertising industry for a minimum of two years within the past five consecutive years.
  • Those involved specifically in the creation, production and placement of Canadian advertising.
  • Currently be residing in Canada.
