A Message from nabs on the Current Crisis

While it’s been less than a week, since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared in Canada, there has already been a sea of change in our industry and within our communities, across Canada.

The health and wellness of our team and our industry is paramount, and like so many of our partners, many of our planned fundraising events such as nabs month, Golf tournaments, Bal en noir and key workshops like nabs’ RIPE program, Career Strategy sessions, Speed Mentoring, Mindful Mornings with the Ad Club of Toronto and our Mental Health First Aid training have been postponed, until it is safe to host and gather as a community.

At nabs-bec we are committed to providing the supports necessary to ensure access to professional counselling services to anyone from our industry and their families. Our supportline remains open, 24/7 at 1-888-355-5548.

I encourage you to follow nabs-bec on social, as we launch supportive, free, digital content from our partners at Morneau Shepell and LifeSpeak in the coming days and weeks ahead.

In the meantime, we encourage you to stay positive, calm, and hyper vigilant to your own physical and mental health and wellbeing so we can positively influence and contain this pandemic. Life will return to normal, especially as Spring approaches, all of us are going to come out of this crisis, stronger, more resilient and more connected than ever before.

At nabs-bec nation, we look forward to the days when we can once again, gather as a community, to celebrate the end of the pandemic. In the meantime, reach out to any of the nabs-bec team if you have questions or need any type of confidential support or advice.
